Especially when the subtext of the article is that the government will not be able to help for at least 10 days and make no mention of weapons, ammunition or self defense. As in every Romero genre story the government wants you to hide in the basement until "They" can help. Granted there is a bit of liability to worry about but would it hurt to define "Looting", "Property Rights", "Self Defense" and "Deadly Force" in declared emergency situations?

Mass Shooting at Dark Knight Rises

14 reported killed with up to 50 injured by an "Active Shooter" inside a Denver Colorado suburb movie theater showing the Dark Knight Rises. According to an eye witness report on Denver channel 9 a young theater employee pulled the fire alarm and screamed for people to run possibly saving dozens of lives. The masked gunman wearing black combat gear including a gas mask and kevlar helmet threw at least 2 tear gas grenades into the theater and fired a shotgun into the crowd. The gunman apparently kicked in the theater doors then moved through the theater shooting anyone that remained.
Police are reporting at least one person is in custody.

(Reuters) - A masked gunman shot dead 10 people and wounded 30 to 40 others at a showing of new Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises" at a movie theater in the U.S. city of Denver, local radio station KOA reported on Friday, citing witnesses. The radio station said a figure in a gas mask had opened fire at the showing in a mall in the suburb of Aurora and set off a smoke or tear gas bomb. It said initial police estimates were of 30-40 injured.

A Swedish woman received a partial, $713, refund from Kenya Airways after she was forced to sit near a dead man during an international flight.
Lena Pettersson had just boarded her Tanzania-bound flight at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol when she noticed a man in his 30s looking unwell, the Expressen daily reported.
Pettersson, a journalist with Sveriges Radio, told the broadcaster that the man “was sweating and had cramps .”
After the Kenya Airways plane took off, the man died, the Expressen reported. Cabin crew laid out the dead man across three seats and covered him with a blanket — but left his legs and feet sticking out, Pettersson said.
For the remainder of the overnight flight, Pettersson was forced to sit near the dead man, with just an aisle separating her and the corpse.

The show is hosted by two current US Marines, John McGregor and Daniel Shaw. Despite the hectic operational tempo these two fine young Marines have kept up their podcast for over 50 episodes since 2009 with no sign of slowing down.

It is refreshing to listen to a show about weapons without all of the ultra NRA/Right Wing, Conspiracy crap attached these guys like guns, use guns, train with guns but are not gun nuts. These men are professional soldiers offering advice based on daily use and professional study. They never claim to be experts but active enthusiasts. Podcast topics range from interviews with practical shooting experts to accidental intoxication from paint fumes while spray painting gun parts in the basement. They are open and honest with practical answers to listener questions and self deprecating over an "accidental discharge" inflicted wound at the range. They have interviewed authors, IDPA Masterclass shooters, Armorers, as well as a great series on weapons training.

No Pictures, No Flash, No Pop Ups
The site of course is a work in progress but features a very active forum and well thought out blogroll of like minded podcasts and blogs of related topics.  GFC has a simple, quick loading, effective Wordpress black and white design with few pictures. Both gentlemen write well and from an honest operational perspective as active duty infantry soldiers. They speak from the heart and are well spoken on topics ranging from weapons maintenance, target practice to "Mil Spec" standards. While they do address current political topics the discourse is kept at the "What can I do?" user level.

Overall the Gunfighter Cast is an easy listen, full of quality advice without all of the political crap associated with Guns, Survivalists and Preparedness. Please check them out.
