Chad L. Coleman from 'The Walking Dead'

Q&A Chad L. Coleman (Tyreese)

Q&A - Chad L. Coleman (Tyreese)
Chad L. Coleman, who plays Tyreese on AMC's The Walking Dead, talks about landing a love interest on the show and his secret to taking out an entire walker herd with just a hammer.
Q: What did you know about Tyreese going into this season?
A: That Tyreese was going to go through a lot. That's what Scott [Gimple] was saying. He was gonna get tested, and he was going to kind of get turned inside out. No actor worth his weight doesn't want to take on stuff like that. So that's been real gratifying and rewarding to be able to do that.
Q: We come back this year and Tyreese has a girlfriend. How'd you swing that?
A: Man, Melissa Ponzio is so beautiful and talented, I wish she and I had the opportunity to work together more. But it was awesome working with her. That was my mantra: Tyreese should have a love interest. I just didn't expect Karen to die in the second episode. I want a love interest and I want her to be around the entire season -- but Karen's death is very pivotal in the storyline.
Q: Tell me about the scene between Daryl, Rick and Tyreese after he finds out about Karen. What was that like to shoot?
A: That was really intense man, because we're all game, and we all love doing our own stunts. There was a lot of adrenaline, and the director was fantastic. It was kind of claustrophobic because that space was pretty small, with dudes throwing each other around.
Q: Did you strike some fear into their hearts?

The Walking Dead renewed for a Fifth Season

"‘We are very happy to make what has to be one of the most anti-climactic renewal announcements ever: The Walking Dead is renewed for a fifth season,’ said Charlie Collier, AMC president. ‘This is a show that has erased traditional distinctions between cable and broadcast. Its expanding base of passionate fans has grown every season, most recently – and most notably – with the season four premiere earlier this month, which broke viewership records for the series and became the biggest non-sports telecast in cable history. On behalf of the incredible team on both sides of the camera, thank you to the fans and here’s to more Dead.’"

Quiet Dumb Guy explains the NSA

We just had a century full of examples of why this sort of governmental behavior is irresponsible and dangerous. Yet people still hear 'If you have nothing to hide..'. Bullshit. Now, I'm not making a direct comparison to the current state of affairs and the Brownshirts or SS but we did fight two World Wars, the Cold War and a dozen armed conflicts over these same issues. Your average American aka the QDG understands the deal, why don't you?

'First they came for the communists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the socialists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me.' - Martin Niemöller

Alien Technology Exploitation Office Challenge Coin

ATEO Challenge Coin
Alien Technology Exploitation Office Challenge Coin - Mil-Mall
"Rumored to have been created after the famous Roswell Incident – which is still officially classified as a crashed weather balloon – the Alien Technology Exploitation Office is allegedly tasked with better understanding alien technology for applications to our nation’s defense. The captured aliens, depicted on the obverse, are not prisoners but vital intelligence assets for our nation’s security.  The reverse features the ‘official’ patch of Area 51, a ‘5 1’ star pattern, proudly worn in secret by all personnel that call this their base of operations.  The base and attached facilities are believed by some to house the latest black ops and covert technology the United States Military has to offer, providing a testing ground for everything from next generation stealth technology to the latest in robotic warfare.

This stone-polished coin has a cloisonné enamel and covert-black nickel finish. This coin celebrates America’s proud clandestine operations heritage and the courageous men and women who make these ULTRA TOP SECRET projects possible. "

Buying The Best Archery Supplies

Archery equipment comes in all shapes and sizes and it is important for you to get the right kind for
your needs. You can purchase a bow and arrows as well as all the other archery supplies and accessories online. This is a great way to shop because you can do it from the comfort of your own home. Before you do that however, you have to make sure you are getting the right products to avoid wasting money.

One of the first things you need to think about before you buy archery supplies online is compatibility. Different manufactures make different archery related products that follow the industry rules without necessarily being exactly similar. As a result, you may end up purchasing a bow and arrows or any other supplies that can not be used together properly if you purchase them from incompatible brands. You bear the responsibility of making sure that such a thing does not happen because you may fail to get a refund and thus have wasted your money.

You have to ensure that you shop around and get the best deal there is in terms of prices and brands. You can get products well within your budget this way.

In order for you consider yourself as having gotten the best financial deal possible as far as buying supplies for your archery equipment is concerned, you also have to consider the quality of items you are getting. Buying a low quality supply set for your archery equipment at a low price is not as good a deal as getting a high quality archery supply set at competitive market prices. This because high quality supplies and accessories last longer and have less maintenance costs as compared to their low quality counterparts which may need to be repaired or replaced often. As a result, high quality supplies end up being lower in terms of general associated costs in the long term, which is a great deal for any perceptive buyer.

Client reviews and testimonials will come in handy in ensuring you get the right kind of information if you want to buy archery supplies online. This is because they are written from the perspective of people who have experience dealing with different brands of products of this kind. You will be able to access the best products that are well worth your money if you pay attention to this information.

Bug Out Bag Basics, The Essentials Of Emergency Survival Kits

Due to the increasing occurrence of events such as man-made disasters and natural catastrophes,
numerous consumers have chosen to invest in emergency survival kits. The latter serve to increase one's chances of surviving such an event, and avoiding illnesses or injuries in the process. Below are some tips for those who plan to purchase a kit and what the ensemble should contain:

The first thing a person should do is make a list of all the required items and practice using them on a regular basis. Those who are novices regarding outdoor life and camping should consider purchasing a large camping kit designed to fit in a backpack. Those with more experience can select a smaller kit, such as those designed to be carried in a small spaces such as a purse or tote bag.

Packing items that will definitely be used and eliminating those that will simply occupy much needed space is wise. A knife, for instance, is obviously an essential object for survival kit. Each item one purchases should have a definite function with regard to providing shelter or assisting one to prepare food.

When organizing the required items, it is essential to give thought to the size of the kit. When the ensemble is completed, it should be easy to carry and contain only durable, high-quality provisions and equipment. It is unwise to cut corners when purchasing such objects, as poor quality tools or equipment will not be very helpful if a catastrophe occurs.

Nemisis + Hubris = Maginot Line and Eric Snowden

NSA and FISA Courts + The Patriot Act = Snowden's Internet Gestapo

Tech Crunch has posted an excellent article that precisely describes exactly what happened that led to the end of free speech and the beginnings of "Good Speak" in America 2013. Just how did we go from the shining symbol of freedom and democracy to being afraid of talking in the same room as our xbox Connect? In less than ten years we willingly let the government surveillance juggernaut the NSA not so slowly roll up our right of freedom of speech, assembly and expression into a flag draped package to be stored in perpetuity. Nobody once asked or answered the glaring flaw in allowing the government to look into our metadata, listen to our calls, access our gmails or sift through our dropbox.

All of this data collection looked at the past. Not the future. Predictive analysis of the internet is not possible with today's technology so all the FBI can do is piece together what happened after the fact. Post Incident Forensic Investigation of data is unbelievably easy once you know what to look for that is why the DEA asked for, an got, access to our text messages and voicemail. Preventative or Pro-active enforcement requires talented analysts, lots of processors, great software, access to data and most importantly a set of Key Warnings and Indicators to flag in the system. Pattern and Link Analysis means you need all of the above AND Keystone Datapoints to anchor the sorts and sets of questions called PIR or Priority Intelligence Requirements to drive the assessment and control the collection efforts.

The US Intelligence collection today system was designed, built, managed and maintained by a generation of bureaucrats and political yes men. Its entire purpose and reason for being was the identification, capture and elimination of Osama Bin Laden and roughly 300 of his best friends. Now that Bin Laden is fish food and the rest are scattered in pauper's graves around the world what does this system do now? Like most bureaucracies it continues to churn until it becomes the weirdly familiar company in the movie "Brazil". In that world people die in avalanches of paper and the system never makes a mistake until it does…….. France learned the hard way when Hitler went around the Maginot Line. America learned the hard way when Snowden walked out of the most secure server room in the world with a portable USB hard drive….

The Maginot Line: "the 1930s, on the eastern border of France. An impenetrable series of bunkers, tunnels, and garrisons built with the object of preventing a German assault. It worked wonderfully, of course — so wonderfully that the Germans decided they should go around it.

The Maginot Line is what I think of when I hear about efforts to secure electronic communications, generally via increasingly complex encryption schemes. The battle is over, everyone. Believe it or not, we lost! In fact, we were completely routed, so to speak. And yet it seems like all anyone can think of doing is shoring up defenses which hardly came into play in the first place!

PGP? People can barely manage the privacy settings on Facebook, much less a stable of random numbers and the means to deploy them. Zero-knowledge storage? Great until a court orders you to decrypt your own data (in violation of the 5th amendment, likely, but how long until a friendly precedent on that account?). Self-destructing messages? Print screen says hello, at least until someone finds a nice exploit. End to end encryption? Lovely, so you get flagged as suspicious by the NSA and all your data is stored for five years — plenty of time for them to squeeze the keys out of you or a friend (identified by metadata), at which point they breach a whole network of trust. Tor? The feds are watching exit nodes like prohibition gangbusters outside a speakeasy. 256-bit WPA2 keys? If the password isn’t ‘password,’ ‘admin,’ or ‘123456,’ it’s probably written on a post-it note stuck to the goddamn router! Come on!"

George A. Romero Completes Script for "The Zombie Autopsies"

George A. Romero Completes Script for His Adaptation of The Zombie Autopsies:

George A. Romero has turned in his script for his next movie in his undead universe. This movie is based on the book by the same name and may finally solve the biggest mystery in his shambling zombie world.

What started it and is the zombie virus curable? Does mankind have a future? Can we turn the tide of death back and live in a world where the dead stay dead?

Considering George Romero's age lets hope this movie finally gives us the answers that plague long time fans of his movies.

▶ BEN AFFLECK AS BATMAN!!! Goes Legit from "CHRONIC and BLUNTMAN"...

Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Kevin Smith could soon be reunited to rule the DC universe!!!!!

To be honest EA has a really great take on what is going on over at WB and DC. Three comic book lovers with serious street creed as Oscar winning, or nominated, actors, directors, producers bringing the Justice League together…. With Affleck playing Batman he has the juice to at a minimum pull together a script and lay a course for the long term future of the franchise. Lets be honest the guy is built like Batman, dresses like Bruce Wayne and quietly underplays his characters like a dark Ninja. Kevin Smith has written close to a hundred comics, graphic novels and screen plays for DC characters. Matt Damon has hollywood juice, action movie experience and writing skills second to none. Remember "Good Will Hunting"?

These three life long friends are true comic geeks and a collaboration to create a universe and JLA to battle heads up with JJ's Star Trek/Wars juggernaut and Marvels Joss Wheadon led phased Avengers GOTG invasion. I won't hold my breath but I will say my prayers.

Note: Purchase all available domains for Jay and Silent Bob's "Fatman and Bobbin" ASAP...

PS, "Dare Devil" was not Ben's fault. A panicked studio recut the movie and CGI'd the crap out of it after it was wrapped, closed and submitted for distribution.

Area 51 Officially exists according to the CIA

(ABC News) --  Area 51 in Nevada has long been the subject of wild conspiracy theories about extraterrestrials, time travel and alien autopsies, but newly released declassified documents from the CIA finally acknowledge its existence.

http://www.whas11.com/news/Area-51-revealed-in-CIA-spy-plane-documents-219912211.html

George Washington University's National Security Archive obtained a CIA history of the U-2 spy plane program through a Freedom of Information request and released it Thursday.

National Security Archive senior fellow Jeffrey Richelson reviewed the history in 2002, but all mentions of Area 51 had been redacted, according to The Associated Press.

Richelson says he requested the history again in 2005 and received a version a few weeks ago with mentions of Area 51 restored.

Will the conspiracy theories finally come to an end? Not likely, and after all, some parts of the report are still redacted.

Pacific Rim Rocks, Godzilla and Friends on Steroids

I have no idea what the early pressers were talking about but Pacific Rim is awesome.
This is no "War and Peace" folks, there is little to no character development, but this is not a movie about characters. Hence the ending. This is a completely new franchise not limited by toy sales, existing universe or beloved characters that cannot die. This is pure awesome in a film can.

This is a movie about gigantic monsters climbing up from the bottom of the ocean and stomping the major cities and population centers along the Pacific rim. Forget the laws of physics, military tactics or wormhole mechanics. This is a movie that has baby godzillas, space ticks, blue plasma acid blood, space EMPs, nuclear powered giant battle mechs and the latest in deep sea escape pod technology. Features Of A Pistol Display Stand

By Claudette Lambert

The usual pistol display stand can accommodate several weapons in a case or it can be just one gun, which is often mounted on a post that can be vertically adjusted. Clamps usually hold the gun barrel in place and the stand should include a number of security features to deter its removal.

The handgun display unit is specifically suitable for showcasing at events, including exhibitions and fairs. The invention was also designed to be used by individuals in the home as well as by dealers and collectors, either at gun shows or in retail stores.

Over the years, dealers haven't always been so concerned about securing their weapons. In the past they have kept guns on counter tops and on shelves, making them easy to pick up and steal. Eventually they understood that they were selling a valuable product and took steps to make sure it they were better presented and more secure.

Weapons have in the past had been displayed by dealers in gun holding trays, which were created to house and retain several guns, with particular emphasis on pistols and revolvers. These trays were designed to store two guns, which were stored in such a position that the barrels were sitting opposite each other, one gun the right way round and the other upside down, to save space.

When stands were created this gave rise to the potential for multiples of weapons to be stored as well as guns of different sizes. The units invariably had slots which supported the trigger. However, many of these displays were insecure and not much of a deterrent against theft. Nowadays the more valuable weapons are apt to be kept behind counters.

The base of an upright unit has to be large enough to support the weight of either one or several guns. Convention dictates that they are made from either wood, plastic or from metal and are in the shape of a rectangle. Ideally, a unit would be adjustable, so that once a weapon has been sold, firearms of different dimensions can be displayed in their place.

Of the utmost importance is that the assembly housing the handgun be able to hold onto the barrel and keep it in an elevated position. This absolutely has to be done in a secure manner that makes withdrawing the product from the unit very hard to do. Added security features can also be added, such as adding a cable that is tied around the upright unit, which not only secures the unit to whatever it is attached to but discourages removal of it as a whole.

The bottom line is that choosing a pistol display stand comes down to more than just price. Security is one of the most important considerations because if the stand is easy to steal or easy for children to get into, then it is not doing its job. Another, some would say secondary, consideration are the aesthetics of the case. Going for a unit made of metal, wood or plastic could come down to personal preference or could depend on what material fits in with the decor of the home, office, dealership or wherever the weapons are stored.

Brad Pitt's 1st Carrier Launch, Fake?

There has been much discussion on the message boards about the now infamous carrier launch scene in Brad Pitt's "World War Z" zombie epic. In the scene an Antov-12 cargo plane launches from an aircraft carrier to send Pitt's character on his worldwide search for a zombie cure. In the video below you can plainly see that the US military has been launching C-130s and several other cargo planes off the deck of aircraft carriers for a very long time. After seeing the movie I can also confirm that there is not one scene that is militarily impossible. The armies of the world have weapons and logistical capabilities far beyond what most average people could fathom.

Improve Your Pistol Accuracy With Dry Fire Drills

Plenty of people want to sharpen their handgun shooting technique. Everyone knows that the greatest way to do this is to shoot countless bullets on the practice range until your accuracy is where it needs to be. This can get very pricey.

However, you can increase your shooting skill by fifty percent without ever shooting a single bullet. Dry fire methods are the easiest way to improve your pistol shooting skill, and the best part is that dry fire exercises are completely free.

Nothing increases your ability to accurately strike your target better than time behind the trigger. However, firing many thousands of rounds per year can cost you many thousands of dollars a year. This write-up describes one of the best ways to upgrade your shooting ability without ever spending money on ammunition.

Before practicing these exercises, you must ensure that your pistol is unloaded and completely empty. There should be absolutely no bullets in the gun and no bullets in the room where you are performing this drill.

As soon as you establish that your pistol is unloaded you should acquire a penny. This penny will save you hundreds on ammunition. Begin the activity by racking the slide back on your gun in order to reset the trigger. The goal of this exercise is to balance the penny on your front sight and pull the trigger back without letting the penny fall off of the front sight.

Perform this exercise ten times, resetting the trigger each time by racking the slide back. When you can pull the trigger ten times in a row without letting the penny fall off the front sight, you will have mastered the exercise.

This drill will expose how well your trigger pull has developed. If you can pull the trigger without letting the penny fall off, then you are most likely doing everything correctly. You are pressing straight back, you are not flinching prior to the trigger break, and you are applying good follow through after you press the trigger.

Of course if you have a handgun with a larger front sight this drill will be very easy and may not be a sensible indication of how well your trigger pull is developing. Whenever you are able to go ten for ten on this activity your trigger pull will be as good as many of the professionals. Now you just have to think of applying this exact same trigger pull anytime you are at the shooting range and anytime you are in an emergency scenario.

UFC Versus Strikeforce, MMA styles compared

By Nolan Barias
In the world of Mixed Martial Arts, two organizations tend to stand out from the rest in terms of competition. Ultimate Fighting Championship and Strikeforce are both huge names in the sport, and both have had a huge influence on the development of MMA.

The UFC was the first major MMA organization, getting its start in 1991. Advertising executive Art Davie was working on an ad campaign that featured the underground sport of MMA. He became intrigued by the sport and became a student of Rorion Gracie, of the famed Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu family.

Fast forward a year and Davie comes up with the idea for a huge televised MMA event that would pit fighters with strengths in multiple styles in the world's first Mixed Martial Arts championship. He teamed up with Rorion Gracie and director John Milius to create UFC 1, the first Ultimate Fighting Championship. The event was an enormous success with Royce Gracie winning the first championship.

Strikeforce, on the other hand, began as a kickboxing organization. However, in 2006, Strikeforce broadcasted its first MMA event, the Shamrock vs. Gracie bout. While it was the organization's debut MMA event, for several years it held the record as the MMA event with the highest attendance. Strikeforce also is notable for pairing up with NBC in 2008 to present the weekly Strikeforce on NBC series, which continued to improve the sport's visibility and popularity.

In 2011, the company which owns UFC bought Strikeforce, and many worried that Strikeforce would simply be merged into the UFC. Its new owners, Zuffa, LLC., promised that the two would remain separate although they did lay off most of Strikeforce's employees and make a few other changes, as well.

Several key Strikeforce fighters also became part of the UFC after the purchase by Zuffa. This has left vacancies in several weight classes, including the women's featherweight division and the men's' welterweight and heavyweight divisions. Strikeforce does have a lucrative television contract with Showtime, which expires in 2014, so for at least the next few years, Strikeforce will continue to be separate from UFC.

Both UFC and Strikeforce follow the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts, although there are a few differences. A Strikeforce bout takes place in a hexagonal cage where UFC bouts occur in an octagonal cage. Strikeforce also forbids fighters from taking an elbow to the head of an opponent who was on the ground; however, that rule was changed when Strikeforce was purchased by Zuffa.

Mixed martial arts looks to have a bright future, an interest in the sport continues to gain momentum. Fighters continue to improve their skills, and MMA athletes are increasingly focused on reaching expert levels in multiple fighting styles. Changes in Strikeforce and UFC will, of course, have far reaching effects on the sport worldwide, but most analysts agree that this sport will continue to change and the competition will become even stronger in the coming years.

Undead Zombie Book Review, "The Scourge"

Here is a great little Undead Middle Ages Holy Grail Questing tale:
By AL Peevey
Zombies are pretty popular right now, and this serial has a unique setting to the genre: the Middle Ages and plague-ridden England. I haven't read any zombie-lit before, but I was intrigued by this chivalrous mix of dead folks who aren't really dead and knights who are not anxious to join them. I have used the word 'zombie'; however, Mr. Calas does not use it. After all, these are just plague victims on a new diet plan.

Basically, Sir Edward wants to reunite with his wife in Northern England, so he talks fellow knights, Sir Tristan and Sir Morgan, into helping him slash, gash, and viciously trash any plague "afflicted" who get in their way or just stumble into their path. Besides zombie-types, Sir Edward and his companions encounter other knights with agendas not coinciding with the trio's own, an invading French army, and an entrepreneur with the beyond disgusting audacity to use zombie women as prostitutes. The results of such unthinkable congress are disastrous!

Mr. Calas has given us, in installments, a raunchy, blood-splattered tale seasoned with expletives as well as other bodily fluids. He has also done his research well, sandwiching in historical notes between each chapter. They add authenticity to this nausea-inducing story. Yeah, I know. Nobody made me read it, and since there's at least one more installment left, I will finish it because I just have to know: Does Sir Edward ever get to his wife? Will it be the homecoming he longs for?

If this is your kind of reading, it should satisfy that undead appetite of yours!
